juni 2011: eating architects
ever tasted 5 architects? how about a gerrit rietveld or a jan duiker on your dinnerplate? the food & eating designers marjolein wintjes & eric meursing have translated 5 architects into an eat’inspiration of 5 dishes using one of their prominent designs.
since march this year marjolein and eric have been creating a 4 parts series of menus around the inspirational theme landscapes & architecture. a theme they both enjoyed very, very much. in march the series started with dutch landscapes, in april guests experienced bauhaus on the dinnerplate, and in may they presented their interpretation of urban landscapes. the grand finale will be in june with the eat’inspiration eat’in architects. meer…

19-20 maart 2011: installatie recipe colorcodes italia al dente
on march 19-20, 2011 it will be italia al dente 2011 time. de culinaire werkplaats will participate this year again. especially for the 2011 edition of this culinary festival de culinaire werkplaats has designed an installation at the intersection of food & art ‘recipe colorcodes’, in which italian vegetables are the main ingredients. you’ll find the installation at the entrance.
at the 2010 edition of italia al dente we presented culinary italy as the vegetable garden of europe. this year we have translated recipes of italian recipes into a color code reflecting the used/necessary ingredients, the proportion and following sequence of appearance in the recipe. meer…
13 jan- 27 feb 2011: ‘t nieuwe light
2011, a new year, new opportunities and new possibilities. therefore, de culinaire werkplaats designed a kick-off menu inspired on this optimistic approach and feeling. the result: the eat.inspiration light.
the eat.inspiration light is a translation of the concept light to 5 dishes. It’s a new perspective on food & light. The menu starts with the eat.cocktail air, followed by 2 savourish dishes dark & prism, and 2 sweetish dishes tranparency & white. As finishing touch there are two matching cocktails as well: coupe light.headed (alcoholic), and coupe free.spirit (non-alcoholic).
