from july 10 till 18, 2010, de culinaire werkplaats is for the 3rd time one of the participants of downtown amsterdam international fashion week.
since their successful debut taste the unwearables followed by the more conceptual tasty textiles the design couple marjolein wintjes & eric meursing present already their 3rd edible and sustainable collection: wear or where to eat. in this new collection food & fashion meet again.

you -just like the rest of us- own earrings, bracelets, necklaces, purses and other accessories that you do not wear anymore, or even dislike. and you have probably received a 100% not done brooch on boxing day.
dust them off, take ‘m with you, and come during amsterdam international fashion week to our food & fashion swop’in evening, a co-production of stoere vrouwen and de culinaire werkplaats.

it’s an adventure for your hands, your nose, your ears, your eyes, your taste buds, and perhaps also for your emotions.
meet in a surprising way the culinary interpretation of velvet, wool, silk, lace, threads and down.

in the summer of 2009 we worked with a lot of pleasure on two projects:
- the exhibition she bakes.emotions, an introduction of the concept of emotion.breads by marjolein;
- and taste the unwearables during amsterdam international fashion week, a project in which we presented our first collection of edible fashion accessories and an edible weddingdress of rhubarb paper.
our summer activities caught the attention of the chinese lifestyle magazine MING
in the travel section there is a 2 page article on de culinaire werkplaats.

especially for amsterdam international fashion week de culinaire werkplaats will be open on a daily base.
during this week we will not serve à la carte but have an eat’in special menu consisting of 5 dishes inspired by fashion & textiles.
