9 november 2011: puur restaurant week 2012 award ceremony
from november 14 – 20, 2011 it was pure restaurant week 2011 in the netherlands, previously known as the fair trade restaurant week.
de culinaire werkplaats is one of the participants of this restaurantweek and one of the 6 nominees for the award ‘the purest restaurant of nl 2012′. the other nominees are: aangenaam (haarlem), fifteen (amsterdam), merkelbach ( amsterdam), de veldkeuken (culemborg) and natuurlijk (egmond aan zee).
the jury report on de culinaire werkplaats:
de culinaire werkplaats combines sustainability and creativity inimitably. the entrepreneurs do everything to make guests feel and experience how great it is to elevate sustainability to art. (martine zuil, jurymember and chief editor misset horeca & catering).
to our regret we could not be present at the award ceremony. we congratulate all the nominees and the winner ‘natuurlijk’.

7 nov 2011: eet meer groenten perslunch
since 2009 the vegetable chef frank fol and gault millau organize the yearly election the best benelux vegetable restaurant.
on november 7, 2011, the new winners of the award 2012 will be announced during the presslunch at ‘t aards paradijs, nevele-merendree.
last year this award is received by both ‘t aards paradijs and de culinaire werkplaats. to our regret we are not allowed to defend the title. but lieve lootens (‘t aardse paradijs) and eric meursing (de culinaire werkplaats) will together with frank fol and wim ballieu (alfin) taking care of the press luncheon.

1 nov 2010: lancering gault millau 2011
here we would like to mention a very special moment for de culinaire werkplaats.
on november 1, 2010 eric and ik were invited to the launch of the gault millau 2011. a very special evening, especially for a company that never expected to be mentioned in a culinary guide as a promising newcomer.
26 okt 2010 winnaar ‘t gouden dienblad fairtrade@work
we are proud to announce that on october 26, 2010 de culinaire werkplaats received another award. this time de culinaire werkplaats won het gouden dienblad (de golden tray) in the category small employers with our breakfast and lunch activities for fairtrade@work on tuesday october 26, 2010. the contest was an initiative by max havelaar. the other award winner are ah (large employers) and sodexho (contract catering).

19.08.2010: contest eat more veggies – the next step
in may 2010, the nominees for the title “the best vegetables restaurant benelux 2010″ were announced. amongst the nominees are 3 dutch restaurants. de culinaire werkplaats is proud to be one of the 8 nominees.
on august 19, 2010 the jury of the contest ‘eat more vegetables‘ will visit de culinaire werkplaats for dinner. the jurymembers are the belgian chef frank fol, paul gelders, managing director of gault millau, and foodwriter marc declercq. we are looking forward to meeting them. the inspirational concept for our eat’inspirations in august will be water. we can also expect a visit of a mystery guest who will test the experience of the jury.
may 3, 2010: nominees best vegetables restaurant 2010
de culinaire werkplaats is very pleased to be one of the 8 nominees for the award ‘beste benelux groenterestaurant 2010′ (best vegetable restaurant 2010).
the award is an belgian initiative of The Vegetable Chef Frank Fol, restaurant guide GaultMillau, Living Tomorrow and Het Huis van de Toekomst (the house of the future).
de culinaire werkplaats is participating in this contest as we share the opinion with the initiators: vegetables deserve a more prominent place on a plate.
in october 2010, when GaultMilau presents its guide for 2011, the award winners will be announced. as we are not a restaurant in the conventional sense of the word we keep both our fingers crossed.
