tasty textiles
project description and slideshow:
during amsterdam international fashion week january 2010 de culinaire werkplaats was for the 2nd time one of the down town locations.
the designers’ couple, eric meursing and marjolein wintjes, have a motto ‘food = fashion’: the food you are eating tells a lot about you, just like the clothes your are wearing do.
especially for this occasstion eric and marjolein designed and presented:
- their 2ND COLLECTION of edible fashion accessories. this time partly alive and still growing;
- a conceptual eating experience TASTY TEXTILES; this eat’in special added some new dimensions to the concept of eating. marjolein & eric designed 6 dishes being the interpretation of the texture of various textiles: velvet, wool, lace, silk, threads and down;
- a cocktailparty MEET & EAT YOUR NECKLACES, a new approach on cocktails and . . .
- and a food & fashion swopping together with stoere vrouwen.
