an titillating installation & tasting of edible ‘fashion fabrics’ made from vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
The food & eating designers Marjolein Wintjes and Eric Meursing of de culinaire werkplaats are specialized in the plate of the future, on which the meat and fish component experience a less prominent position.
With their conceptual and applied food & eating designs the design couple wants to inspire people to shake up their culinary lifestyle.

september 19 en 20: fresh colours
during the design event IDA 2009 de culinaire werkplaats will not only be one of the down town locations of the inside design route through Amsterdam where you come for eat’in as well as design inspirations.
but you’ll find the team of de culinaire werkplaats also in room 27 of the Lloyd Hotel, a part of the former kitchen of the LLoyd. the Lloyd hotel is the central location of this design event. in this small, but very bright kitchen we will be busy amongst other things with creating edible paper of vegetables and fruits, and baking delicious flatbreads for colourfull eat’inspirations.

de expositie wordt gehouden in de textielwerkplaats van marjolein die onderdeel uitmaakt van ‘de culinaire werkplaats’. de openingstijden van de expositie zijn: woensdag t/m vrijdag van 16.00 – 20.00 uur en zaterdag & zondag van 13.00 – 20.00 uur. buiten deze tijden is het mogelijk haar werk te zien, maar dan uitsluitend op afspraak. meer…
de culinaire werkplaats & het vt wonenhuis
van 30 september – 5 oktober 2008 is het weer woonbeurs in de rai geweest.
zoals ieder jaar heeft vt wonen daar ‘n woonhuis. wij vinden het leuk om jullie te melden dat een gedeelte van onze eetcollectie ook ‘n plaatsje heeft gekregen in het VT wonen huis.
de bezoekers van de woonbeurs kunnen niet alleen kennismaken met ons eet.goed van onze kook- & eetwerkplaats.
maar zij krijgen ook ‘n impressie k van het vrije werk dat marjolein tussen de bedrijven door maakt in haar textielwerkplaats.
kortom, een gedeelte van de culinaire werkplaats bivakkeert ‘n weekje in de RAI.
