what did you do during the summer holiday 2015? here a glimpse of what we did.

we closed our studio and restaurant section for several weeks, as we wanted to present our eating experiences in a new way. for this a facelift of our interior was one of the necessary components.

since the beginning of september 2015 we are open again and are now focussing on the finishing touch.
from february 2016 we will be presenting our eating experiences in a new way.


nov 12 – dec 21, 2015: experience dutch design in 5 courses

eat'inspiration design matters by studio de culinaire werkplaats

is a piece of dutch design on your bucket list? in that case ……… join us for the eat’inspiration design matters?

we make you meet and experience with all your senses 5 remarkable dutch design projects. in all these projects the notion of time is an important part of the design. a sneak peek.

you can experience some moments of reflection while nibbling on haute couture (viktor & rolf). there will be some smokiness to explore (maarten baas). you are also invited to play with your food (rem koolhaas). furthermore, you will be triggered to do some research on your plate (christien meindertsma), and we make you experience the natural touch of claudy jongstra.

and …. last but not least we have created two dutch design cocktails for you, in which the concept of time will be featured in a liquid way.

an eat’inspiration

  • always consists of 5 courses (3x savourish and 2x sweetish)
  • and is preceded by an edible sneak peek of the theme.

  • price tag. our drinks have a price tag and you may decide yourself what a fair price is for the eating experience
  • payment. we take credit cards (masters/visa), dutch bank cards/pin, and cash.

food problems/dietary wishes

  • we invite you to share any allergies, dietary restrictions or wishes at least 1 days in advance. so it is possible for us to tailor our menu.

choice of ingredients

  • besides taste and inspirational concept at least 2 of the following criteria also provide for our choice of ingredients, products, and suppliers: animal welfare, small-scale or organic farming, fair trade, direct trade, season, distance, and personal health.

we offer you the opportunity to become in a very playfull way well-informed about dark & raw chocolate during one “lazy” afternoon. so you can treat your friends and family with x-mas on some new chocolate adventures.

  • a tasting of 5 qualities of this afternoon star
  • a few life demos + tastings showcasing contemporary applications and combinations

  • and last but not least a drink that has the potential to create a match-made-in-heaven with this particular ingredient

from october 2015 we open our doors somewhat more often, as there is a lot of interest for the eating experiences vincent van gogh and dutch design.

in addtion to dinner eat’inspirations on friday and saturday it will be possible to join us on several thursday and monday evenings as well.

so our new opening hours for october 2015 are:

  •  fri – sat and mon – thur: 7 – 11 p.m.
