project taste the palette

de culinaire werkplaats was commissioned to create an installation at the intersection of food & art  for  italia al dente 2011, a yearly culinary event for foodlovers of the authentic italian cuisine.

this request resulted in the project ‘taste the palette’, a conceptual way to describe recipes in a colour code.

ingredients are defined in a colour code. in each recipe you identify which are the ingredients used, the proportional amount and the order in which they are processed. this leads to a kind of colour barcode.

we are still working on some new layers which we want to add to the colour code ‘taste the palette’.
