ever tasted polka dots, knittings or other tasty fashion patterns? if not, we advice you to grab your chance and book the dinnerspecial EAT.patterns created by the designer couple marjolein wintjes and eric meursing for down town amsterdam fashion week july 2011.

experience spoons full of fashion, and … don’t forget to pop in for the exhibition eat.PATTERNS which explores the inextricable relation between eating & fashion.

it’s already the fifth time de culinaire werkplaats is participating in the downtown programme of amsterdam fashion week. the first contribution was the project ‘taste the unwearables‘, of which the bridal dress made of rhubarb paper received a lot of international publicity. some other food = fashion projects are tasty textiles, wear of where to eat, deli.wear (ddw) and natural matters.

for this occasion the notion eating patterns is explored in a very playful way and translated into an eat’inspiration of 5 dishes and an exhibition of dresses, fashion fabrics, accessories and ……

an eat’inspiration or eat’in special

always consists of 5 dishes/courses: an eat’cocktail, followed by 2x savourish and 2x sweetish. the eatinspiration is preceded by a sneak preview.
