ever nibbled at a colour and texture forecast? from january 20-28, 2012, you can enjoy a one of a kind food=fashion dinnerspecial at de culinaire werkplaats. for the sixth consecutive time de culinaire werkplaats is one of the paricipating locations of the downtown programme of amsterdam fashion week. This time we proudly present the naturalists.

especially for amsterdam fashion week januari 2012 we have captured the sign of the times in a colour and texture forecast for fashion fabrics and food for 2013 and beyond. the result the naturalists. a food=fashion expedition through 5 mouth-watering trends : neo romanticism, nesting, down-to-earth, new landscapes and ethnic chic. nature revisited in a food= fashion statement and a must for culinary adventurers and fashionistas.

food equals fashion

since our successful debut taste the unwearables during amsterdam fashion week july 2009 we create twice a year an eat’inspiration and installation to express our motto food equals fashion: what you eat and what you wear reveals who you are or who you want to be.

with the eat’inspiration the naturalists. we would like to draw the attention to the vulnerability of the ecosystem, like always.

the naturalists. the practical details

  • the menu 5 dishes: 3 times savourish followed by 2 times sweetish. the 5 dishes are a delicious food and fashion forecast which are a reflection of the following trends: neo romanticism, nesting, down-to-earth, new landscapes and ethnic chic. some matching cocktails: transparency (alcoholic), and forest, an exclusive drink vinegar with herbs and a touch of forest (non alcoholic). click on the following link for menu of the eat’inspiration the naturalists. in pdf-format
  • exhibition of collages the forecast will be translated to some collages/installations. amongst others part of the collages will be some edible fashion fabrics and. furthermore, you can enjoy the making of as well, as we will  be working on the collages during amsterdam fashion week.

  • opening.hours. fri-wed-thur: 17-22 hrs, sat 12-22 hrs. outside opening hours only open by appointment for groups of at least 15 persons.
