urban landscapes: eat the city

landscapes and architecture are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for us. it’s wonderful strolling through the town and have a look around you.

it is quite obvious to look at buildings, this is what we did in 2011, and then we created 5 building projects of amsterdam. in 2012 we walked through the city again, and this time we selected at random 5 urban landscapes. to tell the story about urbanization in relation to food, to tell a story about life in a city, to tell a story about a possible perspective on the dinnerplate of the future in 5 dishes.

after a great walk through amsterdam, we have choosen the following urban landscapes: pavement/sidewalk, skyline, waste separation, guerrilla gardening, last-but-not-least the changed street corner culture in amsterdam, and the eat’inspiration eat the city was born.

we create food & drinks based upon contextual themes. urban landscapes is a multi-layered concept to search for new flavours, textures, combinations and new ways of eating ……. combined with a perspective on the dinnerplate of the future guided by the contemporary urbanization processes in the world.

the open dialogue with our guests, while working on this eat’inspiration, resulted in a fascinating kaleidoscope of ideas. more specific, the result: 2 product ideas and 1 food concept for soup, fruit, and pastry. all 3 worth for further development.
