vooruitblik eerste maanden 2013

in 2013 there will be a large number of activities in our program ranging from eat’inspirations, installations, exhibitions to pop up eating specials & dining experiences, lecturers and… you will find us and / or our work a number of times abroad. england, italy and germany are already in our agenda. so … no lack of variety.

in september 2013 de culinaire werkplaats celebrates its 5th anniversary. therefore during this “jubilee” year we let pass all our most favorite themes, but of course from a new perspective.

a sneak peek what kind of eatinspirations to expect until july:

february 14 – march 2, 2013:

  • the eatinspiration: red revisited
  • taste the new romance in 5 dishes. in 2012, we have investigated the different meanings of red using the pantone colour system. in 2013, we take up the romantic side of red. we let you play with fire, make you blush, and give you a very personal red carpet moment.

march 8 – april 6, 2013:

  • the eatinspiration + exhibition: water, the new champagne
  • on march 22, 2013 is world water day AND the theme water is important in the life of de culinaire werkplaats. we owe the title of the best benelux vegetable restaurant 2011 to our water dishes presented in 2010. so in march we pick up this inspiring theme again and approach it from the perspective of abundance and shortage.
  • besides an eatinspiration you will find at our venue a number of small installations which showcase each a different aspect of water.

april 12 – may 18, 2013:

  • the eatinspiration: blooming
  • in april there will be spring in the air and everything comes to life again. the world is turning green and flowers are blooming. growth and blooming will be our inspirational concept during this period. we make you taste the different interpretations of the concept growth in 5 dishes.

may 24 – june 29, 2013

  • the eatinspiration: eating architects
  • the netherlands has a large number of leading architects, all with a distinct vision on space. we have made an at random selection of 5 dutch architects and interpreted their vision / philosophy, approach and work to a dish.
  • in the weekend of june 22-23 it is the day of architecture. this year’s theme is 24 hour architecture. at a very special location we will create an eat’installation.

july 2013

  • the eatinspiration + exhibition: fashion.matters
  • we will participate in the downtown program of Amsterdam Fashion Week. this time with the eatinspiration fashion.matters. besides edible dutch fashion icons we will present trend forecast for fashion fabrics in 2014 and beyond. supplemented by a number of installations in which fashion and food meet.
