28 & 29 mei 2011: fabulous food festival 2011
on may 28-29, 2011 you are invited to the fabulous food festival. an culinary event where sustainability and enjoying meet. de culinaire werkplaats will be present as well. this weekend we bring along our almost legendary black quinoa croquettes (savourish & sweetish). you can taste them at the festival, but also buy a package to surprise your friends at home.
these products can soon be bought in our new studio & showroom ‘eat’inspirations’ as well as in our online webshop. the black quinoakroketjes (savourish and sweetish) are also available gluten-free and vegan.

look at this tribute to the vitelotte noir.
one of the signatures of de culinaire werkplaats is to approach the plate of the future using the inspirational concept black. it is also the first inspirational theme when de culinaire werkplaats introduced itself to the world.
up till now we have found approximately 62 black vegetal ingredients. but … the truffle potato is one of our favorites. this potato is also known as vitelotte noir, négresse or truffe de chine. at a small scale this potato is produced in the netherlands.

de culinaire werkplaats is invited to present black & edible paper eat’inspirations at the food plaza of the 8th food valley conference, which will be held on october 7, 2010 at cinemec, ede. we will present ‘dutch, the next generation’, an installation + tasting.
kleurrijke toekomst
october 11, 2010 during food professional day, part of the food4you festival, de culinaire werkplaats has presented a possible approach on the plate of + for the future with:
- an installation of edible paper of fruits, vegetables, and herbs;
- 7 colours of vegetable and fruits spreads;
- dessert bonbons: black rice in handmade strawberry paper.
according to marjolein wintjes and eric meursing vegetables, fruits and specialty grains will be starring at the plate of + for the future. to eat varied means to eat as many as different colours of fruits and vegetables.

in june liesbeth goedbloed, journalist of nederlands dagblad -a dutch newspaper- was my table guest. at that very moment our eat’inspiration followed the results of the dutch national football team: orange the new black?

july 2010: global fashion meets local food
from july 10 till 18, 2010, de culinaire werkplaats is for the 3rd time one of the participants of downtown amsterdam international fashion week.
since their successful debut taste the unwearables followed by the more conceptual tasty textiles the design couple marjolein wintjes & eric meursing present already their 3rd edible and sustainable collection: wear or where to eat. in this new collection food & fashion meet again.
